Jack D. Leach

Jack D. Leach is the founder and CEO of Dymeng Services, a NYC based software development company working with Line of Business and B2B SaaS solutions primarily using Microsoft technologies. Jack routinely works with Microsoft Access, SQL Server and ASP.NET MVC delivering software solutions, utilizing both Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services as typical infrastructures.

Jack began programming more than fifteen years ago when he found MS Access as a tool that he could leverage for the manufacturing company he was managing at the time. Since then, he has been fully immersed and ever expanding his skills in database and software development and continues to participate in the forums and communities in which he grew. Passionate about both business management and software development, he left the manufacturing industry four years ago to establish his own software development company.

 A five-year consecutive awardee of the Access MVP award, Jack has also written numerous technical articles and whitepapers, and has written as a technical contributor for the Wrox Professional Access 2013 Programming book with fellow Access MVPs.  He also harbors a deep love of aviation and obtained his pilot license in 2011.

Luke Chung

Luke Chung

Luke Chung, President, founded FMS in 1986 to provide custom database solutions. He has directed the company’s product development and consulting services efforts as the database industry evolved. He is the primary author and designer of many FMS commercial products for Microsoft Access including Total Access Analyzer, Total Access Emailer, Total Access Statistics and Total Visual SourceBook. Luke has also personally provided consulting services to a wide range of commercial and government clients. A recognized database expert, Luke has created FMS’ Microsoft Access Developer and VBA Programming Help Center, Microsoft Access to SQL Server Upsizing Center, and the Microsoft Access Query Help Center with many free whitepapers and tips for the Access developer community.

Luke is a popular speaker at conferences in the US, Europe and Australia, and has published many articles in industry journals. He is a past president of the Washington, DC chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization, and serves on the Fairfax County Information Technology Policy Advisory Committee. Luke is a graduate of Harvard University with a Bachelor degree in Engineering and Applied Sciences, and a Masters in Physical Oceanography.

Alison Balter

Alison Balter

Alison Balter is a leading author of Microsoft Access books and SQL Server books, including Access 2013 Absolute Beginners Guide, Alison Balter’s Mastering Access 2007 Development, and Teach Yourself T-SQL in One Hour a Day. She also authored Access Developer video series for SAMS, Que, and Experts Exchange. In addition, Alison has published numerous articles for Experts Exchange.

Alison is a highly experienced developer and independent trainer. She loves to take highly technical material and explain it in a way that everyone can understand. Alison specializes in developing applications using Access and SQL Server. She thoroughly enjoys teaching others how to develop Windows and Web applications. During her 30 years in the computer industry, she has trained and consulted many people in corporations and government agencies, including Southern California Edison, Shell Oil, Cisco, University of Southern California, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the US Navy, and the US Marines.

On a personal note, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband Dan, and teenage children Alexis and Brendan. They all love to travel, ski, and hike. Living right on Venice Beach, Alison’s favorite pastime is walking on the beach to her yoga studio where she practices yoga daily.

Armen Stein

Armen Stein

Armen Stein is the founder and president of J Street Technology, a Microsoft Partner located near Seattle. J Street is a team of developers with expertise in custom Access desktop and ASP.NET web applications. Armen is a Microsoft Certified Professional and an Access MVP, and has spoken at many user groups and conferences, including Microsoft TechEd, Office DevCon in Australia, the PAUG Conference (12 years in a row!), and the UK Access User Group in London. Armen is co-author of Access 2007 VBA Programmer’s Reference and a Kauai guide. His other interests include travel, photography, backgammon, movies, and driving his 1969 Ford Bronco in the sun.

Thomas Möller

Thomas graduated from the German savings bank academy. In 1997 he started working with Microsoft Access. In 2000 Thomas started working as software and database developer for a large bank in Southern Germany.

Since 2007 Thomas was awarded by Microsoft as a Most Valuable Professional. He is a regular speaker at the German Access developers conference and the lead of the access users groups in Stuttgart / Germany.

In his spare time Thomas likes to develop add-ins to enhance the capabilities of Microsoft Access.
